CAH Research

Who Uses Local Infrastructure Support?

Recent research carried out by Community Action Hampshire has revealed that 5,691 separate organisations in Hampshire use the services of local infrastructure organisations. Of these organisations, around 60% are unregistered not-for-profits, while 10% are statutory services.

This research was carried out at the Third Sector Research Centre at Southampton University and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. The research used a variety of methods to find data relating to the use of local infrastructure services in Hampshire: an analysis of a large national survey (National Survey of Third Sector Organisations); interviews with front-line organisations; and analysis of the databases of local infrastructure organisations.

Food banks in Hampshire

A new research report from Community Action Hampshire published August 2012. The project aimed to identify food banks across Hampshire, and to assess and highlight the changing needs of food banks and their clients, against a background of increasing demand for their services.
